Each detector connects wirelessly to the Smart Alert remote, which should be with you always when you’re at home. The system includes a doorbell sensor, a telephone detector, a smoke detector and a bed shaker. At any point during the day, should the telephone, doorbell or smoke detectors sound, the Smart Alert Remote will vibrate and the detector’s icon on the Remote will light up. At the same time, the detector sends an audio signal through to your hearing aids. At night, the Smart Alert Remote sits in its charger, which is wired to the bed shaker – if any of the alerts sound throughout the night, the bed shaker is activated.
